Moonfire Meeting House is thrilled to formally acknowledge those people who desire to give back some of what they and their families have received from Moonfire over the years. That's why we are forming The Fox Clan. Many friends of Moonfire already bless us by showing their appreciation and generosity of spirit in numerous ways. The Fox Clan will provide the opportunity to focus these blessings and to strengthen our connection with each other. I see the Fox Clan playing a vital part in our community by identifying and providing service where it is needed and establishing the protocol and visionary leadership to satisfy those needs.

What better time of year to create such a partnership than the Fall - Season of Thanksgiving and the Give-Away! What more appropriate ally to guide, grace and support those invested in Service and Support than Fox! Not only is Fox my animal totem, but Fox is considered the ally of family and community in many tribal traditions.

Active Service Members of The Fox Clan will be called upon to assist me and The Deep Arrow Lodge at special events, to care for visiting teacher, elders and Medicine People who come to visit. Those members who are interested in learning community building skills or medicine ways will be able to "learn as they service." Support Members of The Fox Clan may be unable to offer their time to community events as Active Service Members but, none-the-less, will provide a needed support system to Moonfire within The Fox Clan.

If you're excited about having more input into the workings of Moonfire Meeting House, or looking for a more intimate experience of community, or as Jack Kornfield, author and founder of Spirit Rock Buddhist Center, says, "Out of true mystic understanding one naturally becomes a servant" and you're ready to walk the path of service on your spiritual journey, than take a leap of faith and become a member of The Fox Clan. Watch your life unfold. You'll enjoy many benefits from your membership. You need only to be willing to support and serve, to be ready to grow and to commit to "walk your talk" in sharing your part of the Great Work, as Thomas Berry calls it.
